OSIT’s K-5 STEM Grant is intended to increase:

Governor STEM School Designation Program

The Governor's Office of Science, Innovation and Technology is charged with identifying and awarding recognition to schools in Nevada, each year, that demonstrate exemplary STEM learning environments. Such schools are designated as Governor’s STEM Schools and are honored at an annual recognition event. Designation as a Governor's STEM School denotes that the school meets the highest standards of STEM instruction and is a model for schools around the state.

Once designated, schools join the Designated STEM School Network wherein schools access professional learning, networking, and funding opportunities.

Applications for the designation are due December 5, 2025 by 5:00PM PST.
